+ How does Wellness 51 work?

W51 helps you book an expert acupuncture visit at your home, hotel, office, or at our clinics. We match you with one of our licensed acupuncturist available in your area at the specified time. At your appointment time, an acupuncturist will arrive at your door with a treatment table, fresh linens, and equipment to ensure a perfect visit, or will warmly greet you at our clinics. All you have to do is enjoy your treatment.

+ What types of services are offered by Wellness 51?

W51 connects you with an acupuncturist who is also skilled in cupping, massage and knowledgeable in herbs, supplements and mindfulness meditation. Any of these modalities can be performed as an addition to the base acupuncture treatment, and can be performed on either one client or on a couple.

+ How do I pick an acupuncturist?

We will match you with one of our vetted experts for the time you have selected.

+ How does W51 choose its acupuncturists?

We choose our acupuncturists very carefully. We vet each acupuncturist to make sure they are fully licensed. We also verify they are insured by a reputable firm that is well known in the industry. We accept only the highest quality acupuncturists.

Acupuncturists are required to successfully pass a background check conducted by a the state and are licensed by the California Medical Board. All acupuncturists working with W51 have passed the state exams and government certification measures. In order to become an acupuncturist, one must also complete a graduate course of study that takes four years to complete.

All of the acupuncturists have the highest level of integrity and professionalism. In return, we expect all clients to reciprocate the same level of respect and conduct.

+ Can I rebook with the same acupuncturist?

Yes, absolutely! After your first visit you can request to re-book with that same acupuncturist.

+ Can I book a visit directly with an acupuncturist instead of through W51?

W51 takes the stress out of booking a visit and is able to function because of the honor system. If you enjoy your treatment, we hope that you will do your part in keeping our eco-system intact. We strongly encourage our clients to use W51 exclusively for all of their acupuncture needs.

+ What about parking?

At our clinics it's always easy. When booking at home, we ask that you provide detailed parking information. Your acupuncturist will do their best to find free parking. However, if your acupuncturist is unable to locate free parking, you may be charged their parking fees once their receipt has been submitted. Charges will only occur if the receipt is submitted within 7 days of your appointment.

+ What is W51’s cancellation policy?

You may cancel or reschedule your booking up to 3 hour before the selected time with no penalty.

• If you reschedule with less than 3 hour’s notice, you will be charged a $35 fee.

• If you reschedule with less than 30 minutes’ notice, you will be charged a $50 fee.

• If you cancel with less than 3 hour’s notice, you will be charged a $50 fee.

• If you cancel with less than 30 minutes, you will be charged a $99 fee.

If an acupuncturist is not available for your booking you will not be charged.

+ Does W51 accept insurance?

We do. In our clinics we are happy to bill your insurance for you after we take your payment. We are out of network providers and do not accept Medicare or MediCal. When we come to your home we will supply you a stamped envelope with a statement inside that you can drop in the mail and submit for reimbursement to your insurance carrier.

+ Do I need my own treatment table or sheets?

You don’t need your own treatment table. The acupuncturists bring the treatment table, clean sheets, and equipment to create the full acupuncture experience.
